Perfect for 6-8oz cups, these pitchers come with a 6oz milk volume indicator. Replacing the traditional 12oz pitchers for a more horizontal flow, enabling a less drastic initial contact. This gives the cup more contrast and higher color definition. This is our most popular size.
We recommend using soap and warm water and focus on cleaning the interior of the milk pitcher after every shift. Milk contains fat, proteins, and sugars that can leave residue on surfaces, especially if only rinsed with water. Over time, this residue can harden and become more difficult to clean.
As milk spoils, lactose is fermented into lactic acid, increasing the acidity. Acids can slowly corrode metal, even stainless steel, though stainless steel is more resistant. Prolonged exposure to acidic substances can wear down the protective layer of stainless steel.
Using soap and warm water is standard for removing milk fats and proteins effectively. Soap helps break down the fat molecules that water alone cannot remove, preventing buildup.
After wash, we recommend you to dry it with towel and leave them right side up to air out. Drying is important because water left on the surface of stainless steel can cause water spots and possibly encourage corrosion in the long term. Proper drying extends the longevity of metal kitchenware.

The selection of materials and Sibarist's manufacturing process are focused on achieving the highest possible quality over any other factor, while always respecting process sustainability.
The FAST line is composed of a mixture of abaca fiber from plantations in Ecuador and the Philippines (where the product consumed is replanted every year to then be harvested, offering a sustainable process, with batch control and chain of custody), cellulose fiber from European pine plantations (FSC and PEFC) and organic plant-based (non-fossil) polylactic acid.
The main component, abaca fiber, is finer and more porous than other fibers, giving FAST paper good permeability (leading to a higher extraction speed), while offering great tensile and tearing strength in wet conditions, bringing structure and resistance to the composition, with a low substance (less paper). Additionally, the fibers are pulp made from non-wood fibers. This facilitates clean in-plant processing, essential for eliminating the presence of external flavors in the cup and for offering a high-quality filter, while it can also be processed in a more sustainable way.

When United States Baristas Competition competitor Kay Cheon reached out to Slow Pour with an idea to create a pitcher for barista competitions, Anita, our owner and U.S.B.C. Lead Technical Judge, immediately envisioned a pitcher with the right sheen and coating color to help eliminate problems on the competition stage: milk stains and fingerprints. Often these are the criteria used to judge a "clean pitcher," and frequently just a slight fingerprint or small milk drip on the side of the pitcher will cost the competitor points.
With help from WPM, a leading global pitcher brand, the team made it happen. Read Kay's interview to learn more about the story of a dedicated milk deliveryman and how his support contributed to Kay's success as a top-three barista for two consecutive years at the USBC.
Hey Kay, tell us a bit about the story behind the name for the pitcher!
Mark Blankenburg, our dairy deliveryman, is one of the first people we see in the morning. Despite having to get up far earlier than most people, Mark is always friendly and kind. (He also looks out for us, particularly if we don’t place an order on time!) The first year I competed in a barista competition, I knew I wanted to use the milk we use in our café (Straus) in Seattle for the competition, and Mark offered to get us the freshest possible milk available before we flew out with it in a cooler. Ever since then, he has always gone above and beyond to help us and takes an interest in all the Dune competitors (and he still always brings us the freshest milk).
I often think about how we emphasize the work of producers in the coffee supply chain, but we also rely on people like Mark to make coffee service possible.

Perfect for 6-8oz cups, these pitchers come with a 6oz milk volume indicator. Replacing the traditional 12oz pitchers for a more horizontal flow, enabling a less drastic initial contact. This gives the cup more contrast and higher color definition. This is our most popular size.
We recommend using soap and warm water and focus on cleaning the interior of the milk pitcher after every shift. Milk contains fat, proteins, and sugars that can leave residue on surfaces, especially if only rinsed with water. Over time, this residue can harden and become more difficult to clean.
As milk spoils, lactose is fermented into lactic acid, increasing the acidity. Acids can slowly corrode metal, even stainless steel, though stainless steel is more resistant. Prolonged exposure to acidic substances can wear down the protective layer of stainless steel.
Using soap and warm water is standard for removing milk fats and proteins effectively. Soap helps break down the fat molecules that water alone cannot remove, preventing buildup.
After wash, we recommend you to dry it with towel and leave them right side up to air out. Drying is important because water left on the surface of stainless steel can cause water spots and possibly encourage corrosion in the long term. Proper drying extends the longevity of metal kitchenware.

FLAT
The FLAT is the unique and original non-fluted flat-bottomed filter for coffee drippers, designed and registered by SIBARIST. It offers a unique, smooth and unobstructed area that offers the perfect and even space for brewing with full access to the coffee bed. It eliminates the bypass effect and provides the most even extraction with the maximum coffee particle yield, preventing coffee particles from being trapped in fluted areas.
The FLAT uses the FAST Specialty Coffee Filter technology, its no-waves surface eliminates the bypass to provide a regular water contact to all coffee particles and continuous turbulence. Also have all the FAST Specialty Coffee Filter characteristics.
A COMPLETE FIT - ELIMINATING BYPASS
The air flow between the filter and the brewer is eliminated by the flat paper’s adhesion to the dripper walls when wet, thereby removing the “bypass” that can cause astringency in the cup.
The FLAT is very sensitive to dripper geometries and properties since once it is wet, the filter stitches to the dripper walls, eliminating the bypass effect and the air circulation through the filter. This makes it possible to obtain different flow rates depending on the dripper used, opening a new world of possibilities for the barista to experiment with and select the dripper depending on the target extraction time.
A CLEAN SILHOUETTE - NO WAVES
The filter CONE FAST eliminates the air gaps created between the waves of classic flat bed filter which ones produce the bypass effect, the FLAT FAST eliminates any air circulation between the filter and the dripper. The FAST Specialty Coffee paper provide enough permeability to provide a fast and excellent flow rate without these extra air channels. In addition, provides a characteristically clean taste and silky mouthfeel that is free of paper flavor.
The free waves shapes do not allow to the coffee particles to be trapped on the waves, providing a more uniform and complete extraction, ensuring that all the coffee particles used on the brew will be in contact with the water in a more uniform and complete fashion providing a more even extraction. The smooth surface offers a better geometry to create a more uniform turbulence.
UNIFORMITY IN TURBULENCE
A smooth, obstacle-free infusion volume provides freedom, more even turbulence and uniform circulation of particles in the slurry when pouring, resulting in even extractions.
MORE CONTROL OVER EXTRACTION
The pouring speed and turbulence have a direct effect on the filter’s flow and drawdown: cause-effect, making it possible to lengthen or shorten the extraction with the pouring valence.
UTILIZATION OF THE FULL COFFEE BED
Because the filter adheres to the dripper walls, it provides 100% access and view of the coffee-bed area, gaining you more pouring surface and full access to the coffee slurry.
FLOW RATES
The FLAT is very sensitive to dripper geometries and properties, making it possible to obtain different flow rates depending on the dripper used, opening up a new world of possibilities for the barista to experiment with and select the dripper combo depending on the target extraction time. CONSISTENCY AND REPEATABILITY
Created to offer the greatest consistency and coffee particle extraction uniformity, the filter always provides the same geometry, with no coffee trapped or isolated in any fluted areas, providing continuous even agitation.

The selection of materials and Sibarist's manufacturing process are focused on achieving the highest possible quality over any other factor, while always respecting process sustainability.
The FAST line is composed of a mixture of abaca fiber from plantations in Ecuador and the Philippines (where the product consumed is replanted every year to then be harvested, offering a sustainable process, with batch control and chain of custody), cellulose fiber from European pine plantations (FSC and PEFC) and organic plant-based (non-fossil) polylactic acid.
The main component, abaca fiber, is finer and more porous than other fibers, giving FAST paper good permeability (leading to a higher extraction speed), while offering great tensile and tearing strength in wet conditions, bringing structure and resistance to the composition, with a low substance (less paper). Additionally, the fibers are pulp made from non-wood fibers. This facilitates clean in-plant processing, essential for eliminating the presence of external flavors in the cup and for offering a high-quality filter, while it can also be processed in a more sustainable way.

FAST Specialty Coffee Filter technology is a unique fiber composition that provides a “drawdown” circulation of liquid (dissolution of soluble coffee particles) through its unprecedented structure, offering a fast, constant flow in extractions while retaining the solid, non-soluble particles.
