The ORIGAMI Harmony Cup was developed in collaboration with Ryan Wibawa, Indonesia’s Brewers Champion in 2016 and 2024, who also represented his country and placed third in the 2024 World Brewers Cup (WBrC). His simple yet thought-provoking question  “Is it possible to create a cup that focuses particularly on aroma?”  became the inspiration behind its creation.

The Harmony Cup was designed to follow the growing trend in specialty coffee of uniting aroma and flavor. It was crafted to allow the subtle and layered characteristics of coffee to be fully experienced. Every sip is meant to reveal the richness and delicacy of carefully brewed coffee.

Shape that Enhances Aroma

The shape of the Harmony Cup draws from ORIGAMI’s Aroma Series. It is designed to capture the fragrance of coffee and release it gently as you lift the cup. Rim Shape that Smooths the Flow of Coffee

The ORIGAMI Beans Tray is where a brew begins. Not at the kettle, not at the grinder, but here, with the beans spread out, visible, and ready to be considered.

The wide, flat surface holds fifteen to twenty grams, enough for a single brew at a comfortable spread. Resting evenly across the tray, each bean is easy to inspect. Anything that does not belong can be removed before it reaches the grinder. It is a small step. It makes a real difference.

A Shape With a Purpose

The cylindrical spout is narrow enough to guide beans cleanly into most grinder hoppers without spillage. The organic form sits well in one hand, with enough surface area to feel secure and enough lightness at 44 grams to feel effortless. It is not a large object. It holds exactly what you need it to.

This sensory cup is a collaboration between ORIGAMI JAPAN and World Brewers Cup Champion Du Jianing 2019.

The ORIGAMI Sensory Cup was subsequently featured again at the World Brewer's Cup Champion 2022 Sherry Hsu's routine in combination with the OREA V3 , Carlos Medina's routine in combination with ORIGAMI Air S, making this cup a champions' choice three World Brewers Cup Championships in a row.

The ORIGAMI Sensory Cup is designed to maximize the sensory experience. Its specially designed shape retains and captures the aroma of the coffee inside the cup.
