Crafted in Korea from European pulp material, HIFLUX is the next-generation paper filter integrates advanced lyocell fiber technology with a precision 3D weaving structure to redefine brewing clarity and control. Its unique micro-pattern regulates the movement of fines, allowing a controlled amount of ultra-fines to pass through therefore enhancing mouthfeel while maintaining a clean, balanced cup.

Lyocell is a regenerated cellulose fiber, extruded into smooth, continuous threads rather than the wood pulp construction of traditional paper filters. That structural difference means significantly less surface area for lipid adhesion, allowing more oils to pass through. Since lipids carry aromatic compounds, the brew retains more aroma, more intensity, and more lasting flavor expression.

Rethink about your "Paper Bed"

This Lyocell technology allows a 3 dimensional paper bed to be structured - allowing a 3-dimensional flow. Its unique micro-pattern regulates the movement of fines, allowing a controlled amount of ultra-fines to pass through therefore enhancing mouthfeel while maintaining a clean, balanced cup.

Engineered for performance, the HIFLUX lyocell technology filter achieves a flow rate up to 42% faster than conventional paper filters, unlocking finer grind settings, higher extractions, and shorter brew times with consistency.

When water ponds above the coffee bed, the concentration gradient between water and coffee begins to equalize, slowing diffusion and limiting extraction efficiency. HIFLUX's high flow rate keeps fresh water moving through the bed continuously, maintaining a steep gradient and allowing extraction to work at full capacity. The result is complete, even extraction, even with a finer grind and in less time. Positive flavor compounds come forward while negative ones are suppressed. What you get is a cup with a noticeably more layered, complex flavor profile.

The lyocell weave in every HIFLUX filter is precisely manufactured to allow micro-particles under 20 micrometers to pass through, giving coffee its texture and weight. The SOLO HIFLUX Filter 165 is a custom-designed wave filter, developed in collaboration with HIFLUX to precisely match the geometry and flow characteristics of the SOLO dripper.

With a design that is both aesthetically refined and technically advanced, the SOLO dripper required a filter engineered to match its exacting standards. After extensive discussions, testing, and development, HIFLUX has successfully achieved this goal.

HIFLUX PURITY paper focus on the water source of which paper is manufactured. Utilizing pure spring water, and frequent, complete refresh of spring water between batches, it is able to achieve purity in paper quality.

The PURITY paper is a 100% virgin wood pulp paper, and it’s pure water process does not distract the aroma of coffee, and has a balanced flow rate, allowing you to create a consistent, complex cup.
