The rim of the Barrel Flavor Cup is intentionally designed to be slightly thinner than its body for a smooth delivery. This thoughtful design, together with its specific size, fits the palm of the hand nicely to provide a comforting sipping experience.

This cup is at 7.1oz, 210ml volume. A pair of the barrel cup would fit perfectly to pair with our 360ml or 600ml Timemore Carafe.

A modern take to an early design from 1960s and 1970s

The Flare Cup + Saucer Set features a vintage design that brings back the distinctive flare of the 1960s and 1970s, blending nostalgic charm with modern sensibilities. A reinterpretation of ORIGAMI's early designs, it revives the soft textures and subtle glazes that defined the era. The use of colored clay instead of plain white enhances its tactile appeal, while the carefully matched dimensions of the cup and base allow for convenient stacking. The updated handle design offers a more ergonomic fit, reflecting the needs of today’s user. Available in both a cup and saucer set and a mug, this piece captures the warmth and unique kiln-changing glaze of stoneware, offering a timeless connection to the past with a refined, contemporary twist.

The handles have also been refined from the original mold to better suit the modern hand, ensuring a more comfortable and ergonomic grip. The colors echo the soft clay and glaze tones found in the stoneware of that era, creating a nostalgic connection to the past. Crafted to elevate the experience of hand-drip specialty coffee, this cup is designed with precision and intention. The thin rim offers a refined mouthfeel, allowing the delicate nuances and clarity of specialty coffee to come through with each sip.

Its form encourages the coffee to flow from the back of the tongue to the sides, enhancing the perception of clean acidity and balance. The gently curved inner shape is designed to trap and concentrate aroma when the cup is filled about one-third of the way, creating a rich aromatic experience as the scent rises toward your nose.

Available in two thoughtfully selected colorways - Alpine White, which beautifully showcases the color of the coffee, and Stoneware Grey, which minimizes visual distraction and allows aroma and taste to take center stage.

The ORIGAMI Harmony Cup was developed in collaboration with Ryan Wibawa, Indonesia’s Brewers Champion in 2016 and 2024, who also represented his country and placed third in the 2024 World Brewers Cup (WBrC). His simple yet thought-provoking question  “Is it possible to create a cup that focuses particularly on aroma?”  became the inspiration behind its creation.

The Harmony Cup was designed to follow the growing trend in specialty coffee of uniting aroma and flavor. It was crafted to allow the subtle and layered characteristics of coffee to be fully experienced. Every sip is meant to reveal the richness and delicacy of carefully brewed coffee.

Shape that Enhances Aroma

The shape of the Harmony Cup draws from ORIGAMI’s Aroma Series. It is designed to capture the fragrance of coffee and release it gently as you lift the cup. The complex and fruity aromas of specialty coffee fill the senses before the first sip. The cup holds the aroma and warmth inside, so the coffee can be enjoyed fully from the first taste to the last drop.

Rim Shape that Smooths the Flow of Coffee

The rim of the Harmony Cup has a gentle, spreading angle. This allows the coffee to flow naturally across the tongue. The shape guides the liquid evenly, so the flavors touch every part of the mouth. The tip, center, sides, and back of the tongue all experience the coffee in balance. Each sip reveals the sweetness, body, and depth of the coffee. The rim allows the care and attention of the barista to be fully felt in the cup.

A Multi-Layered Taste Experience

The Harmony Cup combines the Aroma Series shape with the Pinot rim. The rim curves outward slightly. This allows the coffee to spread evenly across the tongue. The shape highlights the bright acidity and fruity notes, brings out sweetness in the center of the tongue, and leaves a soft, gentle bitterness at the back. Each sip becomes a layered, complete experience that reveals the richness and complexity of specialty coffee.
