ORIGAMI Ceramic Dripper - Medium for 1-4 Cup Brewing
Regular price $40.75 Save $-40.75The ORIGAMI Dripper Medium is sized for 1-4 cup brewing, for a brew prepared for sharing or at cafés preparing larger brews up to 40 grams dosage.
Handcrafted in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, the ceramic heartland of Japan, the ORIGAMI Small Ceramic Dripper carries the same Mino-yaki porcelain tradition as its larger counterpart: a craft four to five hundred years old, practiced today by only a few dozen artisans. In your hands it is a brewer. In theirs it is a continuation of something much older.
The 20-fold interior works with both conical and wave style filters, giving you the freedom to brew to the cup you want, not the equipment you have. Conical filters encourage faster airflow and a brighter extraction. Wave filters settle the flow, producing something fuller and rounder. The porcelain holds heat steadily through both.
Mino-yaki is the ceramic tradition of the Toki area in Gifu Prefecture, a region long celebrated in Japan for its pottery and washi paper. The techniques used to produce ORIGAMI Drippers are the same ones that have shaped ceramics in this region for generations, refined over centuries and carried forward by the artisans who remain.
The ORIGAMI Dripper was designed by the founder of Trunk Coffee in collaboration with these makers. The result is a brewer shaped by both the culture it comes from and the demands of specialty coffee. It has been used by World Brewers Cup competitors and sits equally well on a competition table or a kitchen counter.
The 20-fold interior of the ORIGAMI Dripper Medium does two things well. With a conical filter, the folds create airflow channels between the filter and the dripper wall, encouraging faster, more even extraction. With a wave filter, the flat bed geometry changes the brew dynamic entirely, slowing flow rate and producing a fuller, rounder cup. One dripper, two distinct approaches.
The high-density Mino porcelain retains heat through the full pour, keeping the brew bed temperature stable from bloom to drawdown.
A dripper collar or holder is strongly recommended to stabilize the ORIGAMI Dripper during brewing and prevent it from sitting directly in the server. The ORIGAMI Wooden Holder and ORIGAMI AS Resin Holder are both available separately and sized for this dripper.
The ORIGAMI Dripper Medium is compatible with the following filter papers. The ORIGAMI Dripper Medium is compatible with the following filter papers. ORIGAMI also manufactures its own ORIGAMI Wave (Flat Bottom) Filter Box.

CONE
The CONE is the premium conical filter that provides faster, even and continuous flow for coffee brewing. It also provides a clean and silky result in your cup. Its unique FAST Specialty Coffee Filter technology makes it possible to explore new extraction conditions and recipes, which have been limited until now.
EXPLORE!
Experiment with fine grinds and short pours with large amounts of water that stirs up the coffee bed, or conversely, use coarse grinds and long fine pours while maintaining a low water level with a full pulse and drawdown control.
FASTER
The filter’s permeability enables a faster flow providing an extraction drawdown 15-40% faster than other filters.
NO CHOKING OR CLOGGING
The fast flow Sibarist filter is less likely to choke or clog during the brewing process. Get the most out of your washed coffees or push your grind size limits to experience the full potential of your coffees.
CONTINUITY AND UNIFORMITY
The filter’s permeability offers greater circulation, minimizing the retention of liquid in the slurry, the creation of puddles or uneven drawdowns, even with fine grinds. This provides you with high control over extraction:
CONTROL OVER EXTRACTION
The pouring speed and turbulence have a direct effect on the filter’s flow and drawdown: cause-effect, making it possible to lengthen or shorten the extraction with the pouring valence.
EXPLORE USING FINER GRINDS
Its extraction speed allows users to explore finer grinds than ever before with percolation methods that do not choke or clog the filter.
ACHIEVE HIGHER EXTRACTIONS
The FAST Specialty Coffee Filter flow has the potential to yield higher extractions and performance values. It also has a lower LRR.
FULL BODY + CLEAN CUP
The permeability and structure of the paper provides an equilibrium between body and cleanliness, providing a unique silky mouthfeel that characterizes FAST papers.
Moreover: No paper impact on flavor
It leaves no trace of flavor or aroma in the cup. The material uses thinner fibers and less substance.

The FAST line is composed of a mixture of abaca fiber from plantations in Ecuador and the Philippines (where the product consumed is replanted every year to then be harvested, offering a sustainable process, with batch control and chain of custody), cellulose fiber from European pine plantations (FSC and PEFC) and organic plant-based (non-fossil) polylactic acid.
The main component, abaca fiber, is finer and more porous than other fibers, giving FAST paper good permeability (leading to a higher extraction speed), while offering great tensile and tearing strength in wet conditions, bringing structure and resistance to the composition, with a low substance (less paper). Additionally, the fibers are pulp made from non-wood fibers. This facilitates clean in-plant processing, essential for eliminating the presence of external flavors in the cup and for offering a high-quality filter, while it can also be processed in a more sustainable way.
“This is a product with a history similar to that of a coffee bean. Its whole process is reflected in the cup, in the form of possibilities, irregularities, aromas and flavors. We must measure up.”
B3 FLAT SPECIALTY COFFEE FILTERS FOR FLAT BED BREWERS M - 100 Sheets
Regular price $44.25 Save $-44.25 The B3 FLAT Specialty Coffee Filter utilizes the B3 Specialty Coffee Filter paper technology, jointly developed by Sibarist and 2021 World Brewers Cup Champion Matt Winton. This FLAT filter is for flat bed drippers (Kalita 185 style).
The B3 FLAT filter shape provides a brewing bed that promotes even extraction of the coffee particles, high uniformity turbulence and full access to the coffee bed. The B3 rigidness produce a minimum contact surface with the dripper and provides a fast extraction, but its material thickness and low porosity provides sweeter and clean cups, lowering bypass during the brewing process.
Sibarist packaging are made using composable materials.
B3 Flat filters are packaged in a flat stack with pre-folded creases for users to fold.
