Paper Filters

April filters are manufactured with high-quality pulp, and specially designed to fit the April Brewer. It sits deeper into the dripper, and allows a faster flow.

The small April filter has a size equivalent to Kalita wave 155, and fits perfectly with our ORIGAMI S size dripper. The Large size is slightly shorter than Kalita 185, fitting perfectly with April Plastic Brewers (size 175)

The SMALL size is recommended with the glass and ceramic brewer, and the LARGE Paper Filters sit slightly higher, and the base is wider for a better fit on the plastic brewer.

However, April brewers are also useable between both sizes. 

April is a coffee roastery, rooted in Copenhagen, home to the Danish Brewers Cup Champion 2019, Barista Champion in 2023, and Swedish Brewers Cup Champion in 2024 and the 2nd place at World Brewers Cup 2019.

As a safety precaution, all filters are final sale and not returnable.

The B3 FLAT Specialty Coffee Filter utilizes the B3 Specialty Coffee Filter paper technology, jointly developed by Sibarist and 2021 World Brewers Cup Champion Matt Winton. This FLAT filter is for flat bed drippers (Kalita 185 style).

B3 Filter Papers are 100% organic.

The B3 FLAT filter shape provides a brewing bed that promotes even extraction of the coffee particles, high uniformity turbulence and full access to the coffee bed. The B3 rigidness produce a minimum contact surface with the dripper and provides a fast extraction, but its material thickness and low porosity provides sweeter and clean cups, avoiding bypass during the brewing process.

Sibarist packaging are made using organic and composable materials.

B3 Flat filters are packaged in a flat stack with pre-folded creases for users to fold.

FILTER PREPARATION

1. Fold the 4 edges of the filter, following the indentation marks on the paper.When folding, it is fine to go over the folds, with no need to avoid the center area of the filter.
   
2. Place the filter on top of the dripper and gently push the edges of the filter with both hands to fold inwards
   
3. Starting from the center, gently and slowly rinse the filter with hot water by moving towards the outer edge in circular motion, while making sure that the entire surface of the filter is stuck to the walls of the dripper, without leaving any air channels between the filter and the filter holder.
