Built Around the Brew
Borosilicate glass was chosen because it handles thermal stress without issues, moving from a cold counter to a hot brew and back again without the risk of cracking that comes with ordinary glass. Glass is non-porous, meaning it does not hold flavor between brews and does not interfere with what is in the cup.
The body shape was not accidental. The wider diameter at the belly of the carafe creates the room needed for an effective swirl. Swirling a finished brew, even briefly, allows the coffee to open up, softening sharp edges and letting the natural acidity come forward without bitterness. The Pourcano Carafe sits cleanly beneath conical and flat bottom brewers, providing a stable base for the drip-through. When using a conical dripper without a dedicated stand, a compatible holder is recommended to keep the dripper stable and the brew uninterrupted. It is sized for a single full brew or a shared pour between two.
Compatible with conical brewers including the Graycano Dripper, Origami Dripper, Suprima Instrument SD-1R, and Hario V60, as well as flat bottom brewers such as the Solo Dripper and April Brewer.
