Matty Bolchi doesn't really require an introduction. A veteran in Latte Art Competition and a friend to many, Matty took some time to reflect with us on the ways that his perspective has changed over the past 10 years of being a barista. Barista, photographer, and actor, Gerardo Velasques has worked in the coffee industry for the last four years. We took some time to ask him some questions about his experiences in the creative world, and he gave us some insight that was both honest and refreshing. During his years spent in coffee, Gerardo has not only grown in his artistic abilities but has found deep belonging in the coffee community.
Luis Espel is a barista who is set on cultivating lasting change in the coffee industry. Luis shares with us his desire to see more coffee shops supporting each other in their trade which in turn will create a sustainable, healthy environment for both the producer and consumer.
Our newly released #FlowControl pin was created for us by designer and artist Lauren Lee, who is enamored by all things whimsical. We had the opportunity to sit down with her and learn a little bit about her own creative “flow” and the things that inspire her.
We recently spoke with the 2019, US Barista Champion, Samantha Spillman and asked her a couple questions about her experiences in competition and her thoughts on the coffee industry.
